Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is so much more fun when you are a kid. I say this because it was a lot of fun preparing for this day for Anna Claire. I love to give gifts. I love giving a gift to someone and to see the look on their face when the gift is given. Anna Claire got gifts this morning for Valentine's Day, and she was super excited.

Valerie shopped really hard to find her little toys and candy.  I am pretty sure that if she could give her the world, she definitely would! Valerie and I went to Walmart over the weekend to prepare for this morning. Valerie got her little box of chocolate candies, poppy, which is her favorite troll, gummies and a cute little stuff frog as well.

Anna Claire has a Valentine's Day party for her daycare. The moms are supposed to bring a snack that their own kid likes, so that every kid will have at least one thing that they like at the party. Valerie decided to take apple, mandarin oranges, and grapes because that is Anna Claire's favorite.

The night before, Valerie prepared all the kids a "fruit pack" of the fruit that Anna Claire likes. She also filled out cute little Valentine's Day cards that have the Trolls on them with cute little sayings. All of these things will go with the fruit pack.

In the morning, Valerie and Anna Claire made the cute Valentine's day cookies to go with the fruit pack. Healthy and sweet. I mean that is called balance, if you ask me! It was so cute seeing Anna Claire putting the pre-made cookies on the cookie sheet. She was counting them as she put them on the cookie sheet.

Once she got to ten, she would then precede to start with "one" and start over again. To fit all the cookies on the sheet, Valerie had to place them in rows instead of sporadically all over the cookie sheet. She then told Anna Claire that she had to do the next part because the oven was hot.

Anna Claire stood back and told Valerie to be careful as she was putting the cookies in the oven. It was cute. As they were baking, it was time to get Anna Claire ready to go to daycare, so that she could participate in the Valentine's Day party. So, who is your Valentines?
